Hays Accountancy and Finance are working to support a Belfast based company to support their dynamic team throughout year end.

Your new role
  1. Financial Record Keeping:
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
  • Process invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and manage petty cash.
  1. Budgeting and Reporting:
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Generate financial reports and statements.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends and variances.
  1. Compliance and Audits:
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Maintain documentation for audit purposes.
  1. Administrative Support:
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team.
  • Manage office supplies and equipment.
  • Handle correspondence and communication related to financial matters.
  1. Customer and Vendor Relations:
  • Communicate with customers and vendors regarding financial transactions.
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
  1. System Management:
  • Use accounting software and tools to manage financial data.
  • Ensure data integrity and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues as needed.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be an Accounts admin you will require the following:
  • Mathematical Proficiency: Strong mathematical skills to handle financial calculations and manage budgets
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in financial records and transactions
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple financial tasks and maintain organised records
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication for handling correspondence and working with other departments
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to address financial discrepancies and irregularities
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software and financial systems
  • Financial Record Management: Experience in maintaining and updating financial records
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Handling invoices, payments, and tracking receivables
  • Financial Reporting: Preparing financial statements and reports
