The Senior Buyer is responsible for the timely placement of purchase orders and coordinating activities involved with procuring goods and services such as process and utility equipment, trade subcontracts and professional services. Responsible for project specific subcontracts and purchase orders (POs) and invoice tracking, shipping and receipt documentation.
Position Responsibilities- Supply chain development
- Identify potential sources / partners and manage pre-qualification procedures.
- Conduct competitive tenders for equipment and services on client programmes, subsequently leading in all stages of the enquiry process.
- Manage progress reviews and expediting of progress in the supply chain.
- Monitoring supply market intelligence and keeping key stakeholders informed of critical issues.
- Compiling regular reporting data and presenting to client procurement groups.
- Preparation of Purchase Orders / Contracts as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Extensive prior experience in a procurement role.
- Knowledge and experience of trade contracts and equipment procurement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook applications.
- Daily use of excellent verbal and written communication.
- Pro-active detail oriented work in a multi-tasking environment.
- Supply Chain related experience.
- MCIPS qualified, Engineering or related supply chain experience.
You may be required to travel for short durations periodically.
