Learning Support Assistant (LSA) with SEND Experience

Position: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: Spennymoor

Hours: Full time 8.30 to 15.30

About the Role:

Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic LSAs with SEND experience to work in schools across County Durham. As an LSA, you will provide essential support to students with diverse learning needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a safe and supportive environment.
  • Support students with SEND in both one-to-one and small group settings.
  • Assist the classroom teacher in delivering tailored learning plans.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and report on student progress.
  • Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs.
  • Previous experience working with children with SEND.
  • A caring and patient approach to supporting students with varying needs.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A flexible and proactive attitude.
  • A valid DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
