An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant to work within the Oleaster on our dedicated Assertive Outreach female inpatient ward. Japonica will offer you a warm welcome and lots of opportunities to develop and enhance your skills and knowledge.
Your role will include assisting in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care under the guidance of the qualified nurse. You will be expected to have some working knowledge of local, national policies and legislation which govern current service provision.
You will assist in the development and provision of social and therapeutic activities for service users, and the promotion of effective therapeutic relationships, which will meet spirituality, equality and diversity needs in accordance with good practice and legislation.

The post holder will ensure effective communication pathways exist, acting as a role model to junior staff within their sphere of responsibility, and in a manner, which positively promotes recovery in mental health.

Assertive Outreach provides a intensive yet flexible team approach to support those individuals with the most complex, severe and enduring mental health conditions. It's emphasis on person centred, meaningful recovery provides a unique and rewarding opportunity to work with people in the most challenging of circumstances.

As part of an experienced Multi Disciplinary Team you will support recovery through; promoting social inclusion, self-management, personnel autonomy and independence.

Japonica is also commissioned to support acute admissions from the local community and is therefore unique in providing inpatient care to patients with a diverse range of needs and complexities under multiple models of care.

The successful applicant will need to be able to work days, nights and unsocial hours as part of our 365 days a year, 24/7 service.

You will work as part of an experienced and supportive team, encouraged to identify your own unique career goals and ambitions and attend associated training and CPD. You will be offered regular management supervision by an identified management supervisor within the team, as well as opportunity to attend monthly clinical supervision and regular team meetings.
