Head of Finance BI & Reporting Systems
Role Introduction:
OneAdvanced is seeking an exceptional Reporting & BI Systems Director to lead the transformation of our financial and operational management reporting capabilities. This high-impact leadership role requires a strategic, tech-savvy professional who can harness BI systems, automation, and AI to drive insight-led decision-making.
As a Reporting & BI Systems Director, you will own the Anaplan platform, oversee the rollout of automated dashboards and reporting, and act as the bridge between business needs and technical execution. Your work will directly influence executive-level reporting, financial insights, and key SaaS performance metrics, ensuring our leaders have the data they need to drive OneAdvanced forward.
This role requires 2 days in our Birmingham HQ to work collaboratively in person
What You Will Do:
BI Systems Leadership & Development:
- Own the strategy, governance, and roadmap for Anaplan, ensuring its continued development and adoption by stakeholders across the business, covering financial reporting, ARR, and workforce planning.
- Lead the collaboration between business stakeholders and our Centre of Excellence development team to drive system improvements and enhancements.
- Ensure high standards of user experience, including interface optimisation, training, and support materials.
Executive-Level Reporting & Insights:
- Drive the production of financial reports for senior leadership, investors, and board-level presentations.
- Standardise and automate key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance strategic decision-making.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure financial and operational insights are readily accessible and actionable.
Automated Dashboards & AI-Driven Reporting:
- Lead the evolution of automated reporting and dashboards, leveraging Anaplan and Power BI to serve a range of business users.
- Design reports based on accurate, real-time data sources, ensuring robust and insightful analytics.
- Drive the integration of AI capabilities within financial reporting, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and predictive insight.
ARR & SaaS Metrics Expertise:
- Become the go-to expert on ARR methodology, ensuring accurate reporting and analysis of recurring revenue streams.
- Support users in interpreting data and insights, while also leading group-level reporting and reconciliations.
- Provide detailed financial modelling and analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership:
- Build strong relationships across Finance, Commercial, and IT teams to align reporting solutions with business needs.
- Adapt and refine reporting frameworks in response to evolving business priorities.
- Mentor and guide reporting and analytics teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
What You Will Have:
- Finance & BI Expertise: Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA) with significant experience in financial reporting and analytics.
- BI System Leadership: Proven experience overseeing BI platforms and managing development teams. Experience with Anaplan an advantage but not essential
- Automation & AI Enthusiast: Strong track record of leveraging automation, dashboards to enhance financial reporting, and a passion for understanding and utilizing AI
- Stakeholder Engagement: Exceptional communicator with the ability to influence C-suite executives and cross-functional teams.
- SaaS & ARR Knowledge: Experience in the software industry an advantage, including knowledge of ARR and other SaaS metrics.
- Process Optimisation & Continuous Improvement: Ability to drive efficiency, enhance reporting structures, and adapt to a fast-moving business environment.
