Function Overview:

Based in Apsley, the Original Content Product team is responsible for developing and maintaining Blackhawk’s own gift card content to drive incremental revenue and bring growth opportunities to the gift card category. The successful applicant will work extremely closely with our Consumer Marketing Team, Operations team and Technology team to support the management, development and expansion of our award winning and market leading One4all Gift Card as well as our range of Category Cards.

Role Purpose:

We are looking for a Sr Technical Product Manager to support a number of vital strategic activities across the suite of Multichoice Gift Card products across EMEA.

Working closely with the VP of Product for Multichoice Gift Cards and the Product Director, the Sr Product Manager will play a pivotal role in identifying product improvements (via data analysis and stakeholder review), sharing product updates and enhancements with internal teams, and supporting new product development with a particular focus on payment innovations, card servicing and One4all App development.

We’re looking for a candidate with a technical and payments background who is well organized and pro-active and who will bring enthusiasm and a drive to the table. Your attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment will be valued.

Key Responsibilities
  • Existing product development
  • Work closely with the wider Product team to Develop the product vision, roadmap and overall product strategy, product releases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams. Work closely with technology, design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure the product development process aligns with our overall corporate objectives
  • Collaborate with our technology teams on sprint planning / backlog to ensure that the technical aspects of the product are implemented according
  • Managing testing and releases on new developments within our App environment.
  • Create and maintain product documentation, including roadmaps, specifications, and user guides.
  • Engage and align with Product Marketing to communicate effectively to both internal and external customers/recipients to maximise our return on new product developments
  • Product development within our App environment to ensure Customer journey optimization and ease of redemption and usage within our App environment
  • Sales and redemption analysis to monitor customer journey and optimize profitability and achievement of sales targets
  • Responsible for monitoring existing products to identify areas for improvement
  • Responsible for developing our App into a sales channel through the effective communication and targeting of recipients of Gift Cards.
  • Payments
  • Managing the relationship with Visa and MasterCard
  • Staying up to date with innovations within the payment space
  • Manage and implement product / service updates and proposals – any innovation or improvements from VISA/Mastercard
  • Implementing and optimizing new payment methods across our Product range to ensure ease of use and recipient journey
  • Maximising recipient into buyer experience within our App to drive profitability and sales targets
  • Work and align with our eMoney issuer to ensure BHN is compliant on any new Visa notifications or mandates
  • Monitoring and implementing processes to improve transaction declines from Gift Card both physical and digital acceptance in our Card Partners stores/online
  • Development and management of Payments Playbook to support Card partner Account managers to minimize any transaction declines within our Card Partner network.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills
  • 3rd Level Degree and 3+ years as Product Manager
  • Experience with Rally is preferable
  • Sprint Planning and management is essential
  • Some background in Payments is essential
  • Experience with data and sales analysis
  • Highly numerate
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Customer and results focused
  • Ability to work independently. We are a virtual team across multiple locations.
  • Strong organisational skills, including time management
  • The ability to prioritise key actions is essential, especially at our peak times
  • The ability to retain information and resolve problems is a must as we are very process driven to ensure a high standard of service to our retail partners and end customers
