PS Limited are looking for a reliable, professional and flexible Project Worker’s to work in residential care homes and the community based in the Exeter. We need experienced Project Workers who are willing to work on an ad hoc basis.

This role involves:
  • Providing high quality person centred support to enable and empower service users’ to develop the skills necessary for independent living within legislative, regulatory requirements and best practice
  • Establishing professional relationships with all service users’, using appropriate and clear communication to promote independence through developing daily living skills and social engagement, ensuring that they maintain personal choice, privacy and dignity
  • Providing an intensive housing management service to enable service users’ to maintain their tenancy, stay safe, and understand their rights and obligations under their tenancy
  • Assisting service users’ in understanding and planning their support package, focussing on positive outcomes to maximise their potential and enable them to exercise choice and control
  • Provide advocacy to support service users’ and their families when required, to maximise their independence and personal potential
  • Liaise with relevant external agencies to ensure the maximum support is delivered to enable the service user access to and maintain a level of integration within the wider community
  • Manage the implementation of safeguarding principles and responsibilities to ensure the safety of service users’ and to avoid potential risks
  • Promote self-practices and undertake risk assessments within legislative frameworks and business protocols, escalating issues as appropriate

Applicant requirements:
Essential:
  • Literacy and Numeracy equivalent to at least GCSE Grade C English and Maths
  • NVQ3 in Health & Social Care, or willing to work towards
  • Minimum 1 years paid UK experience as a Project Worker
  • Enhanced DBS
  • Basic Life Support Certificate
  • Manual Handling Certificate
  • Medication Administration Certificate
  • Full Right To Work in the UK
  • 2 references (must cover past 3 years)
Desirable:
  • QFC Assessor
  • Full, current driving licence (may be essential in some locations)
