What You'll do
As the Information Governance Manager, you will serve as Trident Group's designated Data Protection Officer, playing a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and compliance of the data management practices. You'll work directly with the Executive Director of Data & Information, ensuring that the organisation reaches the forefront of data protection and governance.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Information Governance:
- Oversee and coordinate Information Governance across the Group
- Develop, promote, and monitor IG policies and procedures
- Embed an Information Asset framework and engage suitable owner
- Monitor IG training, creating engaging learning programmes
- Data Protection:
- Act as the Group's Data Protection Officer, liaising with the Information Commissioners Office
- Provide expert advice on Data Protection matters
- Manage data requests and compliance with relevant legislation
- Develop and deliver a Data Protection awareness campaign
- Business Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to enhance Group activities within IG and Data Protection
- Promote the benefits of change across the organisation
- Performance Management:
- Design and monitor Key Performance Indicators related to Data Protection legislation
- Support managers in resolving performance issues within IG & Data Protection
- Policy and Governance:
- Develop and implement policies in line with current legislation and best practises
What You Bring:
- Significant experience as a Data Protection practitioner
- Excellent knowledge of Data Protection law and personal data obligations
- Proven ability to provide practical advice and deliver engaging training
- Strong understanding of IG best practises in a regulated environment
- A relevant degree or professional qualification in Data Protection Management or Information Governance
