About the role:
We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Computing, specialising in AI/Data Science, to drive our mission of becoming a leading player in computing in the North-West region. This role is crucial for advancing our academic delivery, research, and knowledge exchange, ensuring we achieve high academic quality and maintain our reputational integrity.Your contributions will directly impact our growth and evolution, helping us to expand our influence and success in the field of computing.

You will have a good honours degree (or equivalent) in a STEM computing related subject and PhD in a relevant subject area. We would also welcome applications from a Maths/Physics background where the handling, analysis and visualisation of large/big data, in a computational setting applying AI/ML/Data Science is a substantive aspect of your experience.

Applicants need to meet all essential criteria on the person specification to be considered for interview. This position is based in Preston. Depending on activity, you may also be required to visit, or work at, our Burnley campus or other sites in Lancashire.Work patterns may mean that weekend work is sometimes required.
