Supply Teacher

Teaching Personnel are working with the school to find suitable educators to assist with cover during periods of staff absence such as illness, pre-planned courses and trips for example. This role would be suitable for early careers teachers who have recently qualified, fully qualified teachers who are looking for extra work alongside a permanent role, as well as teachers who may be looking to reduce their workload or working days.
What are the key responsibilities of a substitute teacher?
Classroom management: Follow lesson plans left by the regular teacher, whilst maintaining order and discipline in the classroom. Manage student behaviour and address any disruptions, logging reports appropriately as needed.
Instructional support: Deliver lessons and facilitate learning, following preset lesson plans. Assist students with assignments and questions, providing individual or small group instruction when required.
Adaptability and collaboration: Be flexible and adjust to different ability levels and subjects, familiarise yourself with classroom routines and procedures.
