SPT Labtech is seeking a dynamic Program Manager to spearhead our firefly® product line, driving cutting-edge projects that transform scientific research. Overseeing the delivery of cutting edge lab automation products, including associated consumables.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multifaceted projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of innovative solutions that meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure program success, delivering new products on time, within budget, and meeting quality and performance standards.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to bring innovative lab automation products and consumables to market quickly.
  • Collaborate with the PMO to develop and maintain project plans, including scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with resource managers to allocate resources effectively and provide necessary tools, training, and support for team members.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Facilitate communication across all business functions and teams, including R&D, product management, marketing, sales, manufacturing engineering, and customer support.
  • Work closely with R&D teams to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with product specifications and comply with relevant regulatory standards and quality requirements
  • Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes to ensure product reliability and performance. Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Solve complex problems and lead strategic program execution from concept to production.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Protect intellectual property by ensuring proper security of project documentation

Your experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree within an appropriate Engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of cross-functional project and/or technical leadership experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in program or project management within a product development, technical industry, manufacturing, and/or research environment
  • Demonstrated execution at meeting project goals while satisfying quality, performance, schedule, and budget requirements.
  • Strong understanding of product development processes, including hardware, software, and consumables
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
