Job Description

The role of Specialist Transport Planner - Heavy Haulage will involve:

• The efficient planning of all heavy haulage solutions.
• Being the main point of contact for all heavy haulage and escort drivers.
• Submission of all route notifications relevant to STGO (Category 3).
• Planning for any rail-based customers.
• Working closely with the project team to ensure successful planning and completion of all jobs.
• Resolving any issues for drivers or customers regards heavy haulage.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Specialist Transport Planner - Heavy Haulage will need:

• Excellent transport planning experience (3 years minimum).
• A background in planning for abnormal loads and route notifications.
• Strong IT skills, particularly with TMS.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Advanced communication skills (internal and customer).

Desirable:

• OLAT trained or Transport Management CPC (desirable).
• Familiarity with STGO Regulations.
• Understanding of technical drawings.
