CNC Recruitment is seeking a skilled Quality Manager for our client in Wincanton area - a global company specialized in the repair, refurbishment and remarketing of electronic and electro-mechanical equipment in the IT, banking and retail sectors.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Day Shift

Responsibilities:

  • Quality - Ensure that the products and services provided are fit for purpose, consistent, meet our customers’ requirements and are legally compliant. Apply best practice and processes across our businesses.
  • Be able to ensure that all repairs meet consistent standards, develop and implement quality control tests to ensure the company's result is what it should be, inspecting at various stages in production and writing reports on their findings to take action where needed.
  • Supervise inspectors, technicians and other staff and provide guidance and feedback.
  • Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis.
  • Be on the lookout for opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures.
  • Health and Safety – Ensure the health, safety and welfare of all employees and others who may be affected by the company activities, through full compliance with the relevant national occupational health and safety legislation.
  • Environment – Minimise the environmental impact of our business and ensure that any waste streams produced by our business are processed in an environmentally sound way that is compliant with any applicable legislation.
  • Monitor and advise the Group Board on the performance of the quality, health and safety and environmental management systems, produce data and report on performance, measuring against our standards.
  • Ensure that the business develops its lean six sigma culture and that waste in all its forms is eliminated from our processes.
  • You have the responsibility and authority to stop any process or activity that you believe to be hazardous or that will affect the long-term relationship with our customers.
  • Work with the General Manager and his staff to ensure that the quality, health and safety and environmental systems are functioning properly. Where appropriate advise on changes to processes and procedures, their implementation and provide training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve the standards required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, logistics, or related field,
  • 5 years of work progressive experience performing professional level quality management duties; preferably in manufacturing ,repair or logistics industry,
  • Education, training and/or work experience in area of repair of Technical components may be required,
  • Knowledge of principles and procedures used in revers logistics operations and practices,
  • Knowledge and/or training in Six Sigma, Lean – Advantage
