Job Title: Therapy Assistant
Location: Meadowcroft School, West Yorkshire
Salary: up to £23,000 FTE DOE
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, 42 weeks

Essential: Full UK valid driving licence and access to own vehicle.

About the role

We are looking for a Therapy Assistant to join our in-house Clinical Team. Working collaboratively with the site, you will deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for our pupils with developmental trauma, autism, ADHD, complex needs and SEMH needs.

You will be responsible for assisting the Occupational Therapy caseload at Meadowcroft School. With the full support of our well-established and knowledgeable Clinical Team, you will also contribute to staff training, consultation and reflective practice.

Essential Criteria:

5 x GCSE’s Grade C or above, including English
Degree Level (Desirable)
Experience working as a therapy assistant or in a similar role would be advantageous
Experience of working within an educational setting would be advantageous
Skilled in working as part of a team
Knowledge and understanding of working with Autistic people and complex needs
Ability to carry out both 1:1 and group sessions under supervision
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, complex, technical and clinically sensitive information to the specific client group, their carers and families and a wide range of professionals outside the service
Excellent organisational skills and experience completing administration tasks for a team would be advantageous
The ability to effectively plan, manage and minute meetings
Full UK valid driving licence and access to own vehicle.
