Are you a highly motivated and experienced professional looking for an exciting leadership opportunity? Christ the King Catholic Primary School in Reading is seeking a dedicated School Business Manager to join our team.
Our current School Business Manager is retiring, and we are looking for a skilled and dynamic individual to take on this key role in our school community.
As School Business Manager, you will be a vital member of the senior leadership team, responsible for the strategic and operational management of the school’s finance, HR, premises, and administration. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our school, supporting our staff and pupils, and helping to shape the future of our school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial management, budgeting, and reporting.
- Manage HR and payroll processes, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Lead on premises management, health & safety, and school facilities.
- Ensure efficient administration and office operations.
- Work closely with the Headteacher and Governors to support the school’s strategic direction.
About You:
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience in financial and business management, ideally within an educational setting.
- Is highly organised, with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Can communicate effectively with staff, parents, and external stakeholders.
- Has a commitment to supporting the ethos and values of a Catholic school - (you don’t need to be Catholic to apply).
- Experience of working in a busy school or office environment.
