We’re looking for a Head of Health, Safety & Wellbeing to join our team in Europe.

We are open to the location of the successful person, but you must be within commutable distance to our office in Spalding, UK.

In this new position, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping a culture of safety and well-being, overseeing everything from risk management to training initiatives. You'll collaborate with regional teams and ensure compliance across all our European sites, including offices, packhouses, and our avocado orchard in Portugal.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and implement health, safety, and wellbeing strategies across Europe.
• Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Oversee training programs to keep employees informed and safe.
• Lead investigations into incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Champion employee well-being initiatives and foster a healthy work environment.
• Ensure compliance with European health and safety regulations.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Chartered Member of a relevant professional body (e.g., IOSH) or working towards Chartership.
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
• Strong background in health and safety management.
• Strong knowledge of European health and safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

• Experience in the food or agricultural industry.
• Experience developing and delivering training programs.
• Proficiency in health and safety management software.
• Additional language skills (beneficial for regional communication).
