One of our partnership SEN schools in South Manchester are looking for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team!

In this role as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support children with Special Educational needs such as Autism, Cerebral Palsy and Down syndrome in and out of the classroom
  • Liaise with the class teacher to support with EHCP plans and record assessment of children’s learning
  • Support and encourage development of children’s communication and language skills
  • Assist with social activities and potential outings into the community

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant, will have:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs in a school/care setting or through personal experience
  • A calm and patient personality
  • The ability to be flexible and adaptable to children’s individual needs
  • Full time availability withing school hours (8:30-3:30/4:00pm)
  • An enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the update service- this can be applied for through Teaching Personnel

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
