About the Role:
As a Accounts Manager, you'll play a key role in managing the finance function, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while supporting management accounts and group reporting. You'll oversee transactions, ensure accurate postings, and contribute to financial analysis and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of the nominal ledgerProcess accruals, prepayments, and maintain the fixed asset registerAnalyse overhead expenditure and provide insightsAssist in year-end accounts preparation and external auditSupport VAT returns, intercompany reporting, and reconciliationsReview transactions processed by the bookkeeperManage direct debits and nominal cashbook postingsReconcile supplier accounts and generate payments for approvalReconcile bank accounts and invoice discounting accountsConduct credit checks and maintain customer credit limitsProvide cover and support across the finance team
What We're Looking For:
AAT Level 4, part-qualified ACCA/CIMA, or QBE with relevant experienceStrong understanding of accounting principles and financial processesExcellent Excel skills and attention to detailExperience working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlinesSage or similar accounting software experienceStrong communication skills and ability to guide others
