Storage Driver & Operative – Alton & Surbiton

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and organised Storage Driver & Operative to support the smooth operation of our warehouse in Alton and ensure seamless logistics between our sites. This hands-on role involves driving, packing, inventory management, and maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.

You’ll be using company fleet vehicles to transport goods between our Surbiton office and Alton warehouse, ensuring all items are securely packed, logged, and stored correctly. Flexibility is key, as occasional out-of-hours work may be required.

• Drive company fleet vehicles (Luton van and long wheelbase) between Alton and Surbiton.
• Pack, load, and unload items with care and accuracy.
• Log inventory using basic computer systems.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment.
• Conduct annual inventory inspections and reconciliations.
• Liaise with outsourced storage providers professionally.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Full UK driving licence (minimum 3 years, max 3 points).
• Proven experience in warehousing and driving.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.

• Forklift licence (Articulated or Counterbalance).
• Experience with inventory management systems.
