PJG Financial Limited is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented bookkeeper to join our team.

We are a financial services company specialising in helping individuals with poor credit improve their financial health.

You will be working closely with our team on BadCredit.co.uk, a platform dedicated to providing advice and solutions to people with bad credit histories.

This role is fully remote, offering flexibility while working as part of a dynamic and supportive team.

You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate maintenance of financial records, supporting our financial operations, and contributing to the smooth running of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including data entry of financial transactions, invoicing, and reconciliation of accounts

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions in accounting software (e.g., Xero or QuickBooks)

Ensure all financial data is accurately recorded and organised for reporting purposes

Monitor cash flow, expenses, and budgets to support business decisions

Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly

Prepare and manage VAT returns and other financial submissions

Collaborate with accountants and other team members to ensure the smooth completion of end-of-year accounts

Assist in the preparation of financial reports and management accounts

Keep financial information confidential and comply with data protection regulations

Requirements:

Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in a remote setting

Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles

Proficiency in using accounting software (experience with Xero or QuickBooks is an advantage)

Good organisational skills and attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a remote team

Experience in the financial services industry is desirable but not essential
