An opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 physiotherapist to join our friendly and busy community stroke and neuro-rehabilitation team, supporting patients within the Bury area.

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and well organised individual with demonstrable skills within stroke and neurological rehabilitation to join our Multi-Disciplinary Team. You will need to be enthusiastic, motivated and an appropriately experienced practitioner in stroke/ Neuro rehabilitation.

You will need to be a registered Physiotherapist who can demonstrate your commitment and enthusiasm to the speciality.

This is a dynamic MDT and a supportive learning environment for pre-registration students and support staff. The team work to SSNAP targets and relevant KPIs, reviewing and treating patients in a timely manner in line with national guidance.

This is a full time position at 37.5 hours per week and flexible working requests will be considered.

Main duties of the job

You will provide high quality care in an appropriate and timely manner, across Early Supported Discharge (ESD), Community Stroke and CNRT pathways, using evidence based practice to drive decision making and deliver care.

You will be supported through regular team meetings, 1-1 sessions, on-going education with access to a professional team of peers, nurses and AHPs to provide mentorship and support.

In short we are looking for a committed individual with the following attributes:
  • Registered Physiotherapist
  • Previous experience in stroke care/ Neuro-rehabilitation.
  • A desire to learn and develop clinical skills and knowledge across all aspects of stroke and neuro-rehabilitation.
  • Excellent standards of care
  • Ability to communicate and work collaboratively with patients, Carers and a wide range of health and social care professionals.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.

Registration and Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Registered with HCPC
  • Honours degree in physiotherapy
  • Evidence of CPD within clinical speciality
Desirable criteria
  • Bobath or equivalent training
  • Member of relevant special interest group

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Evidence of experience within stroke or neuro rehab
  • Significant Band 5 rotational experience
Desirable criteria
  • Previous Band 6 experience
  • Previous community experience
