Teaching Assistant
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the learning of students in a secondary school setting, assisting teachers in the classroom, and contributing to the overall educational experience of the students.
Requirements:
- Experience working with students in a secondary school setting is not essential to this position.
- This is a full-time position; therefore, it is essential that you are able to work between the hours of 8:00am and 15:00pm, Monday to Friday.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in different teaching environments.
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- An interest in education and supporting young people with special educational needs or who require additional behaviour management support.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting teachers in the planning and preparation of lessons.
- Supporting students in their academic work and providing guidance when needed.
- Helping students with special educational needs and ensuring their individual needs are met.
- Monitoring students’ progress and maintaining accurate records of their achievements.
- Participating in staff meetings and contributing to the development of school policies.
- Liaising with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
