Communications Manager, Programmes

apartmentFauna & Flora International placeCambridge descriptionPermanent scheduleFull-time calendar_month

This is a gem of a role working with teams around the world to help share amazing stories of how we save nature, together.

By building effective and supportive relationships you will help gather and share updates and inspiring content from our projects working with different species across a range of habitats; engaging local communities and expertise. That could be the latest sighting of a creature that hasn’t been seen for a while, an exciting development in our use of conservation technology or a photo of an animal so amazing it takes your breath away.

You will be curious and thrive on finding out more about our amazing work around the world but remain strategic as to how our teams can use that information to build support for our work with individuals and organisations.

Working with our teams overseas, you will use your experience of working in a global communications role to support and guide their use of external communications work to help bring change, helping to plan and deliver training where needed. You will work particularly closely with our Communications Officers in Asia Pacific, providing coaching and professional guidance helping to ensure a manageable and fulfilling workload, working closely with their line managers.

This is an exciting role that requires excellent organisational and communication skills, as well as a real skill in building relationships.

In return we offer the opportunity to work for a ground-breaking organisation at the forefront of global conservation with generous pension contribution, attractive annual leave allowance, life insurance and salary exchange schemes.

Our offices are located in The David Attenborough Building in central Cambridge, just a few minutes’ walk from glorious historic buildings and museums, the picturesque River Cam, the central market and shopping centre and a host of cafés and restaurants.

Our hybrid working policy currently brings us together in the office for a minimum of one day a week.

The closing date for applications is Sunday, 13 October 2024. Interviews are likely to take place during the week commencing Tuesday, 22 October 2024.
