We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Drama Teacher to join a good secondary school in High Wycombe. Role Overview
The successful candidate will teach Drama across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5 based on experience. You will play a key role in fostering creativity, confidence, and collaboration among students, while contributing to the continued development of the Drama department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Drama across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for KS5 teaching).
- Plan, prepare, and deliver dynamic and creative lessons that engage students.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies.
- Support curriculum development and participate in department initiatives.
- Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that nurtures student well-being.
- Contribute to extra-curricular activities and performances, fostering a love for Drama.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a degree in Drama or a related subject. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Drama, with experience at KS5 being advantageous. A passion for theatre, performance, and developing student creativity is essential, as is the ability to inspire and motivate learners.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or a related discipline.
- Experience teaching Drama at KS3 and KS4 levels.
- Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to student success.
- Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school, including performances and events.
