The Opportunity

We are looking for a Commercial Contracting Specialist to join the Finance Function of our Toxicology business. This position cab be based out of our Abingdon office (preferable) or our Maidenhead office.

As a Commercial Contracting Specialist you will support the Toxicology Business Unit internationally for all markets OUS (Out of US) to achieve the Division’s contracting, strategic pricing, and governance goals.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage contract workflow – drafting, redline negotiating, execution and storage for all customer contracts and relevant data protection agreements
  • Lead the implementation of contract review and contract governance framework working closely with commercial, finance and legal to align with the Division objectives
  • Building and maintaining a contract master repository, ensuring any required follow up on renewal dates and key commitments
  • Responsible for coordinating and contributing to commercial contract reviews for new business and tenders
  • Make recommendations on contract clauses or escalate for legal review
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive understanding of key customer contracts across the International markets
  • Support VBP (value-based pricing) and GMI (gross margin improvement) initiatives
  • Occasional travel to the other Abbott markets
Required Qualifications / Profile
  • Previous experience in commercial contracting, pricing, finance, accounting and/or sales operation experience is preferable
  • Bachelor’s degree related to Business Management is strongly preferred
  • Experience in large, multinational corporation
  • Paralegal degree or other legal qualifications would be an advantage
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical thinker with attention to detail and task driven
  • Strong computer skills especially MS Office
  • Able to interact with key stakeholders at a senior level
