Kingswood Senior School is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Assistant Exams Officer to support the delivery of both internal and external examinations. Working closely with the Examinations Officer, you will play a key role in the administration, organisation, and smooth running of exams throughout the academic year.
Your responsibilities will include supporting the administration of GCSE, A Level, BTEC, and internal examinations, assisting with exam entries, timetabling, and data management, and helping to coordinate access arrangements for students with additional needs.

You will also contribute to the organisation of exam venues, materials, and invigilation, while ensuring full compliance with JCQ regulations.

We are looking for a candidate with strong administrative and organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and confidence in working with data and IT systems. You should be able to communicate clearly and professionally with students, staff, and parents, and demonstrate the ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.

The role requires someone who can work effectively both independently and as part of a team. While experience in a school or exams environment is desirable, it is not essential.

The position is for 20 hours per week, term time plus an additional eight weeks to support peak exam periods. Kingswood offers a supportive and collaborative working environment, opportunities for professional development, free meals during the working day, access to excellent on-site facilities including a gym and swimming pool, and a beautiful setting on the outskirts of Bath.

Closing date for applications is Monday 15 June 2026, midday.

Kingswood is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Successful candidates will be required to complete relevant safeguarding and enhanced DBS checks, including a check of the children’s barred list.
