We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Project Controller to join our team in supporting high-profile defence programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient planning, monitoring, and execution of projects using Primavera P6 as the primary scheduling tool.

You will play a crucial role in maintaining project timelines, budgets, and performance metrics, while supporting decision-makers with accurate and timely information to facilitate successful project delivery.

Requirements

Project Scheduling & Planning:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 for complex defence programs, ensuring alignment with project goals and milestones.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project tasks, deliverables, and dependencies.
  • Perform critical path analysis and identify any schedule risks or delays, proposing mitigation strategies.

Budget & Cost Management:

  • Track and monitor project costs, working closely with finance teams to ensure projects remain within budget.
  • Maintain accurate records of project expenditures, forecasts, and cost performance data.
  • Provide regular cost and schedule reports to project stakeholders, identifying trends or variances and recommending corrective actions.

Progress Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare and distribute regular project status reports, including progress updates, schedule forecasts, and risk assessments.
  • Support the creation of Earned Value Management (EVM) reports, analyzing project performance and providing key insights to management.
  • Monitor and track project milestones, deliverables, and deadlines, ensuring projects stay on track and are completed within scope and on schedule.

Risk Management & Change Control:

  • Identify potential risks or issues that could impact project timelines or costs, and collaborate with teams to implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain project change control processes, ensuring that all scope changes are documented and incorporated into the project schedule and budget.

Stakeholder Communication & Coordination:

  • Act as a key point of contact for project scheduling and reporting, providing detailed insights and updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure clear communication of any schedule deviations, potential risks, or adjustments to the overall project timeline.
  • Assist in organizing and preparing for project review meetings, presenting schedule and cost performance data.

Compliance & Documentation:

  • Ensure all project documentation, including schedules, reports, and change requests, adhere to company and regulatory standards, such as military specifications (MIL-STD).
  • Support audits and project reviews by providing accurate and up-to-date project control data and documentation.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6; experience with MS Project, Excel, or other scheduling software is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities while ensuring the accuracy of deliverables.
