Forklift Driver – Timber & Metals Specialist

Contract Type: Temp-to-Perm (subject to performance and suitability)

• Early Shift: 07:30 – 16:30 (1-hour unpaid break)
• Twilight Shift: 14:00 – 23:00 (1-hour unpaid break) – with the possibility of transitioning to Night Shift (19:00 – 04:00)

We are seeking experienced Gas Counterbalance Forklift Drivers to join our fast-paced operation in Tilbury. Working primarily with timber and metal products, you’ll be handling loose items and large boards (up to 10x4 in size and 30–40kg in weight), with support provided for heavy lifts.

Training will be provided, but you must be confident in your ability to meet the required standards quickly.

• Operating a Gas Counterbalance Forklift to safely pick and move timber and metal products from racking areas up to 15ft high.
• Reading and interpreting manifests accurately and efficiently.
• Physically assisting with loading and unloading materials on and off the forklift as required.
• Ensuring safety procedures and company standards are consistently followed.

• Previous experience working in timber or metals environments.
• Confident operating Gas Counterbalance Forklifts.
• Physically fit and comfortable lifting boards weighing 30–40kg with assistance when needed.
• A flexible approach to shifts – twilight shift workers may be required to move to nights based on operational needs.

• £13.00 per hour
