Job Description
The In-House Banking Lawyer will be:
- Providing legal advice on securitisation transactions across various asset classes, including mortgage loans, credit cards, auto loans, and trade receivables
- Supporting other debt capital markets (DCM) transactions, such as covered bonds, unsecured bond issuances, and structured products
- Collaborating with business areas across Corporate & Institutional Banking to deliver pragmatic legal solutions
- Engaging in strategic and regulatory projects related to DCM
- Contributing to central initiatives within the Legal & Secretariat function
The Successful Applicant
The In-House Banking Lawyer should be:
- A solicitor or equivalent with a current practising certificate in a relevant jurisdiction
- Possessing ideally 4+ years' PQE in securitisation and DCM, gained in private practice or in-house
- Experienced in providing commercial legal advice and leading complex transactions
- Adaptable, with a willingness to engage in various DCM products and projects
- Skilled in building relationships and influencing stakeholders across functions
- Competitive salary range of £85-100,000
