Common Connections Project Manager
How you'll make a difference:
The Common Connections project is a £1.25 million green infrastructure project seeking to reverse biodiversity decline across the local area, with funding from West of England Combined Authority (WECA) and South Gloucestershire Council.
As a Project Officer, you will provide ongoing project support to the Common Connections project, working alongside various stakeholders across the community.
What you will be doing:
- Working alongside a variety of stakeholders such as Friends of Parks representatives, suppliers, and council colleagues, you will provide ongoing day-to-day project support.
- You will be responsible for preparing and submitting funding claims as well as identifying additional funding sources to help enable the project scale.
- It will be key for you to analyse and interpret arising information relating to the project area.
- You will work with the local community to raise awareness of the project and to encourage buy-in and participation.
- Daily, you will provide effective line management to our Common Connections Engagement Officer.
What we need from you:
- You must have relevant professional or degree qualification or have relevant equivalent experience.
- It is a requirement that you have significant experience of environmental project delivery and business case preparation.
- Given the nature of the role, you will be working alongside partner organisations, elected members and local communities so you must have the ability to communicate with a wide range of people.
- This is a limited term contract until April 2026.
