Salary: £162- £251 per day
Are you a passionate and dedicated Geography teacher looking to inspire young minds? We are currently recruiting for a talented Geography Teacher to join a dynamic and welcoming secondary school in Redcar. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified teacher who wants to make a real difference in the lives of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality Geography lessons to students across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to ensure all students reach their full potential
- Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing constructive feedback to aid their learning
- Promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment, fostering students’ curiosity about the world
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and develop the curriculum
- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and meetings to support the school community
Key Requirements:
- A degree in Geography or a related subject (Essential)
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent (Essential)
- Experience teaching Geography in a secondary school setting (Desirable)
- Strong classroom management skills and a passion for engaging students
- Ability to inspire and motivate students, nurturing a love for Geography
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
- Provide at least two professional employment references.
