Please note:

• Due to enhanced background checks, this role is only suitable if you have continuously resided in the UK for the last 3 years.

Start Date:

• 1st October 2024

What's on Offer:

• £12.00 per hour
• Shift timing : 06:00am to 18:00pm or 18:00pm to 06:00am (You must be flexible to do both days and night shifts)
• Shift pattern : Ad Hoc
• Weekly Pay (every Friday).
• Temp to Perm (performance-based)

Key duties:

• To provide a visible security contact for colleagues, contractors, and visitors.
• Booking in and out of all Vehicles entering and leaving the site.
• Utilising CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss.
• The job is very customer orientated so being able to communicate via the telephone and face to face is vital. We use a tannoy for numerous requests and it must be clear and concise due to sometimes requesting a first aider to go to a specific location.
• To deter theft, whether internal and/or external and other poor working practices.
• To respond to any on site incident or request for assistance and maintain control until arrival of the Client, Emergency Services or Duty Manager.
• To highlight all breaches of security procedures including internal and external crime.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with their queries, offering guidance, and creating a welcoming and stress-free environment.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid Full SIA badge.
• You must have lived in the UK for 3 years or longer.
• A positive, customer-centric attitude with a genuine desire to create a pleasant experience for all airport visitors.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm and aid in stressful situations.
• Experience in a security or customer service role, preferably in an airport or similar environment.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail to effectively identify potential security risks.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and adhere to strict security protocols.
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and perform routine security tasks.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends.
• Must be over 18.
• Must have continuously resided in the UK for the last 3 consecutive years.

PLEASE NOTE: As this position is in the aviation industry, successful applicants must be able to provide 5-year checkable history.
