Tutor - Functional Skills Maths & English

Location: BA21

We are seeking a Tutor with expertise in Functional Maths and English, who also has experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN) students. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference in students' educational journeys by providing tailored learning experiences.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Deliver engaging and effective tutoring sessions in Functional Maths and English to a diverse range of students, including those with SEN.
• Assess individual learning needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
• Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning.
• Provide feedback to students and parents on progress and areas for improvement.
• Prepare educational materials that support varied learning needs and styles.
• Maintain records of students' progress and challenges.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Tutor in Functional Maths and English.
• Experience working with SEN students.
• Strong understanding of the educational needs of different age groups.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students.
• Patience, creativity, and flexibility in teaching approaches.
• Relevant educational qualifications, preferably a degree in education or a related field
• PGCE with QTS is desirable but not essential.
