Great Oaks College is a specialist independent college which is currently located within Oaklands School.
In September 2025 we are relocating to two new sites in Sunbury-on-Thames (Surrey) and Hounslow.
The college provides further educational opportunities to students aged 19-25 with moderate, severe and profound and multiple learning difficulties, many of whom also have other needs such as physical disabilities, sensory impairments and autism.We run three Pathways: Vocational, Life and Living and Engagement for Life.
Vocational students are working towards the development of skills that they need to prepare them for paid employment.
Students within the Life Skills Pathway are working towards the development of their day-to-day life skills. Students also work to develop their functional literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.
Within the Engagement for Life Pathway, students are working to develop their communication, build on their understanding of cause and effect and environmental control to develop meaningful relationships and maintain their physical ability.

We are looking to recruit a Site Manager who takes pride in their work and will ensure that our premises across the Sunbury and Hounslow are safe and welcoming for our College community. The Site Manager plays an important part in the smooth and efficient running of the College.
You will have some maintenance experience in a similar role or can demonstrate capability to carry out maintenance and DIY tasks, plus an awareness of health and safety. Previous education sector experience is welcomed but not essential. Training specific to various aspects of the role will be provided.
This position is subject to a satisfactory, enhanced DBS check with adult barring and references being received.
All positions are subject to the satisfactory completion of a twenty-six working week probation period.

Contract Type: Permanent
Working hours: 36 hours per week. The hours are 7am – 11am and 3.30pm – 6.30pm plus one additional hour at a time to be agreed. Negotiable for the right candidate.
Pay Scale: Inner London Pay Scale 6 between point 16 £34,779 and point 20 £36,888 (dependent upon relevant skills and experience in the education sector).
The higher scale at SO1 could be considered for exceptional candidates with demonstrable experience and qualifications.
