One-to-One Teaching Assistant Job Description Job Title: One-to-One Teaching Assistant Location: West Midlands, West Midlands, Wolverhampton Job Type: Contract, Full-Time Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £83 - £90 Per day About the Role:
As a One-to-One SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a Reception-aged child with non-verbal autism in a partnered school with Protocol Education. Your primary responsibilities include:- Working one-to-one with the child to support their communication, social, and emotional development
- Implementing tailored strategies to encourage engagement and progress
- Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to ensure the best outcomes
- Providing a nurturing and structured environment for the child
- Experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Understanding of non-verbal communication techniques such as PECS, Makaton, etc.
- A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach
- A passion for supporting children with SEND
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Understanding of non-verbal communication techniques (PECS, Makaton, etc.)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and SENCOs
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday
- Start Date: Easter 2024

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
