Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Design and Technology (Resistant Materials) Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons in resistant materials, inspiring students to develop their practical skills and creativity.You will be part of a collaborative department that values innovation and excellence in teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in Design and Technology with a focus on resistant materials.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Develop and implement schemes of work that meet curriculum requirements and cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the department.
- Ensure the safe use and maintenance of equipment and materials in the workshop.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Experience teaching Design and Technology, with a focus on resistant materials.
- Strong knowledge of the curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Willingness to undergo a new DBS check.
Desirable:
- Experience in using CAD/CAM software.
- Previous involvement in extracurricular activities related to Design and Technology.
