An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Teaching Assistant to join an Outstanding primary school in Wandsworth, South West London, on a long-term basis. This is a fantastic role for someone looking to gain valuable classroom experience, particularly if you are considering teacher training in the future.
Role
The successful candidate will support pupils across KS1 and KS2 with numeracy, literacy, and other classroom activities. You will work closely with teachers to help pupils access learning, build confidence, and reach their potential.- Supporting teachers during Maths and English lessons
- Working with small groups or individuals to consolidate learning
- Building positive relationships with pupils and fostering a supportive learning environment
- Communicating effectively with staff, pupils, and parents
- Assisting with classroom organisation and resources

Requirements- Holds a degree in any subject with a strong academic background
- Has previous experience working with children (e.g. , tutoring, school experience, coaching, youth work)
- Possesses excellent communication skills and can build rapport with children and parents
- Has a basic understanding of Maths and English to support learning effectively
- Experience with SEN pupils is desirable but not essential
- Is enthusiastic, professional, and passionate about supporting children's learning
