Overseas Visitor Cost Recovery Operations Manager –
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced operations manager to lead our Overseas Visitors Team which is one of the largest in the country. The Overseas Visitors Team is responsible for the identification, charging and cash recovery for overseas visitors not entitled to free NHS care as set out in Department of Health regulations.
This is a highly varied management role in a busy and often challenging environment requiring excellent interpersonal and communication skills, collaborative working with internal key stakeholders and other colleagues across the wider health service.You will need to exercise both judgement and diplomacy in managing a complex and challenging area of Trust activity.
As a highly motivated and organised individual the successful candidate will be responsible for leadership of the Overseas Visitors team which is based across four hospital sites and our Canary Wharf offices. You will also lead on the implementation of overseas visitors’ policy across the Trust and help to communicate the Trusts approach on this issue to stakeholders across North East London and beyond.
As an established manager you will need to be able to demonstrate a successful track record in leading and motivating a team, managing a range of projects and delivering tangible service improvement. You will also need to demonstrate the ability to liaise with and influence senior managers and clinicians across the Trust and external stakeholders inside and outside the NHS.A strong business acumen, the ability to challenge traditional ways of working and experience in finance is required.
