Employment, Senior Associate/Legal Director, London
Jameson Legal is instructed on a new Employment opportunity at the Senior Associate/ Legal Director level with our City client.
The Employment department is ranked highly in both The Legal 500 and Chambers directories of leading UK law firms, providing advice across UK and internationally.
The role will be based in the London office. The firm operates a one-firm policy and lawyers in different offices often work together on client matters. This allows exposure to other lawyers in the team and also to other types of clients.
The successful candidate will be taking on a balanced workload of employee and employer work. Employee clients include senior executives, partners and managers. Employer side clients include brands in tech, pharma and a wide range of financial services organisations.
The firm does not operate strict partner teams and so the successful candidate will benefit from working with a range of experienced fee earners. Given the smaller size and entrepreneurial nature of this firm, lawyers take a more hands-on approach to their workload than what they tend to in larger firms.
The suitable candidate will have strong experience in claimant or respondent work, or both. (It is not a disadvantage if the candidate previously focussed more on claimant or respondent work, given that in the role they will have the opportunity to learn and gain experience of the other side).Also sought is experience in Tribunal and High Court litigation.
