Main duties of the job
The Cardiovascular & Thoracic service have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Team Leader, managing patient administrators and data clerks in our cardiovascular and thoracic data team.

We are seeking a responsive and motivated individual to fulfil this role, which supports a multi-disciplinary team by providing specialist knowledge on patient journeys, RTT pathways and cancer waiting times targets.
You will be able to demonstrate strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to develop and support fellow team members. You will be organised and flexible in your approach to the role and have experience of working in a customer-focused environment.
This is a full time position working 37.5 hours per week over 5 days.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The role requires someone who is passionate about the ways in which data and data quality can impact the patient journey and departmental success.
The ideal candidate must have a keen eye for detail and a level of experience reviewing both qualitative and quantitative data. Experience in prioritising while facing multiple deadlines as well as experience following long-term tasks through to completion would benefit the candidate due to the wide scope of the role.
Management experience would be beneficial in the role but is not essential.
Person specification
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria- NVQ Level 4 or equivalent experience e.g. good knowledge across a range of administrative work procedures including non-routine elements
- Educated to GCSE (or equivalent) standard, with a pass in English and Maths
- Experience of administration in a customer- focused environment
- Experience of dealing with non-routine and complex problems, progress chasing, resource and staff allocation
- Ability to compose correspondence from fragmented instructions
- Experience in delivering training sessions
- Previous experience of working in an acute hospital setting
- Competent in the use of ESR and Healthroster
- Supervisory or office management experience
