About Raft:

Raft is the intelligent logistics platform rewriting the technology playbook for freight forwarders and customs brokers in the automation era. As a dynamic UK-based technology company making a global impact on the logistics industry, Raft is on a mission to transform the way logistics businesses operate.

Backed by top-tier investors like Eight Roads (Alibaba, Spendesk, Toast), Bessemer Venture Partners (LinkedIn, Twilio, Shopify), Episode 1 (Zoopla, Betfair, Shazam), and Dynamo Ventures (Sennder, Stord, Gatik), our journey has been supercharged by recent Series B funding.

We’re looking for a Staff Product Designer who thrives in the fast-paced, dynamic environment of an international scale-up and is excited to shape the future of logistics through design.

Role overview:

At Raft, we see designers as strategic partners and decision-makers. In collaboration with product and engineering, our empowered teams shape exceptional products from ideation to production. Together, we craft solutions that drive value for our customers and business success.

As a Staff Product Designer, you’ll join at an exciting time as we reimagine and redesign our platform. This transformation leverages the invaluable customer insights we’ve gained while building for scale.

We’re seeking a senior creative designer who is curious, passionate, and energized by the opportunity to integrate AI-native solutions into a new way of working.

In this role you will…
  • Drive Impact: Shape the company’s direction and product vision through design.
  • Own Your Work: Take full ownership of your time, process, and design decisions.
  • Understand Customers: Engage directly with users to uncover their mental models, empathize with their needs, and identify core problems through discovery.
  • Conduct Research: Explore product opportunities through in-depth product and competitor research to uncover trends and patterns.
  • Craft Experiences: Transform opportunities into intuitive, beautifully crafted user experiences, paying attention to motion, copy, and details that elevate the product.
  • Continuously Improve: Use data to understand product usage and prioritize impactful design improvements.
  • Inspire Others: Energize the team, company, and customers with a passion for creating experiences that are simple, intuitive, and delightful.

In this role you will not …

“Just design” detailed specs - you will work collaboratively with the team from ideation, discovery to production.

Face unrealistic timelines or pressure to rush quality design.

Need to prove the importance of design—our team is committed to investing in UX.

Feel bored, ever.

Requirements

We specifically want someone who has:

  • Start-Up Experience: You’ve worked in start-ups and understand the beauty of early days, resilient to change while building new ways of working.
  • Passion for Design: A deep love for UI design and a habit of staying inspired by following other designers and companies.
  • Impressive Portfolio: Demonstrated expertise in B2B SaaS design, especially for complex, enterprise-level systems.
  • User Research Proficiency: Strong experience in user research and customer-focused design methodologies.
  • Communication & Leadership: Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and lead design efforts across teams.
  • Preferred: A Bachelor’s degree in User Experience Design or a related field.

If what we’re looking for aligns with your passion and skills and makes you excited, we’d love to chat!
