Teaching Personnel is currently working with one of our Partnership Schools and they are excited to share that they are seeking a full-time Special Educational Needs (SEN) Site Manager to join their expanding team.

We are looking for individuals with a strong understanding of maintenance and experience with management, based in or around the Towcester/Silverstone area.

As this role may require travelling to our Partnership School, applicants must have access to a car and a willingness to transport students if needed. If you are based in surrounding areas, please refer to the bottom of this vacancy for commute times by car.

This is a full-time position (40 hours a week), Monday to Friday during term time. We are currently accepting applications for an immediate start (November 2024) or for roles starting after a suitable notice period.

The Site Manager will work alongside the Senior Leadership Team to:

  • To organise and ensure the security of the school premises
  • To ensure the school is open for use as and when required and securing the premises at the end of the day
  • To ensure the site always remains a safe environment
  • To ensure good Health & Safety practice at the school
  • To ensure that all equipment and machinery is in a safe working condition and properly stored when not in use, reporting any concerns about the condition of equipment as quickly as possible.
  • To manage the control, monitoring, ordering and safe storage of cleaning materials and supplies as necessary
  • To regularly check premises for damage and areas of repair, keeping accurate records
  • To carry out day to day maintenance and minor repairs
  • To organise external contractors for more specialised work
  • To make sure that heating, lighting and alarm systems are working properly
  • To maintain the upkeep of external areas
This job description reflects the major tasks to be carried out by the post holder and identifies a level of responsibility at which they will be required to work. In the interests of effective working, the major tasks may be reviewed from time to time to reflect changing needs and circumstances.

Such reviews and any consequential changes will be carried out in consultation with the post holder.

ESSENTIAL QUALITIES
  • Good general standard of education (GCSE Grade 4/C in English and Maths or equivalent)
  • Experience working with children and young people
  • Ability to drive
  • The ability to identify risks and implement strategies to minimise those risks
  • The genuine desire to make a positive difference and contribution to the lives of young people
