We are now recruiting for an enthusiastic and motivated receptionist/administrator with experience of working in a busy environment. The post holder will need to be methodical with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

It is essential that the post holder has strong interpersonal skills with a “can do” approach, able to problem solve and enjoy working both independently and as part of a team.

The post holder will act as receptionist and will be the first point of contact for all users, visitors and patients to the building and surrounding wards. The post holder will also be responsible for the daily monitoring of maintenance issues and act as fire warden.

The post holder will provide administrative support to the Events & Facilities Manager as well as process all room booking requests via a bespoke electronic system.

The post holder will be expected to adapt to all new IT systems quickly and easily.

The post holder must be flexible to meet the needs of the service.

The post holder will play a key role with the ERC, working with all staff within Education.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will work as part of the ERC Events & Facilities Team based in the ERC. The post holder’s main role will act as the Receptionist and will be the first point of contact for all users, patients and visitors to the ERC. The post holder will also assist in providing administrative support to the Events & Facilities team and assist with the processing of all room requests via the electronic booking system.

The post holder will receive deliveries, ensuring they are delivered to the correct department within the ERC. The post holder will be responsible for the daily monitoring of room usage and signing in process.

The post holder must be flexible to meet the needs of the service.

The post holder will play a key role with the ERC, working with all staff within Education.

  • Good General Education including GCSE English & Maths or equivalent experience
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent level 2, or equivalent experience
