An esteemed and award-winning Special Educational Needs (SEN) school group in Basingstoke is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join their permanent staff team from April 2025. Role Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, tailored education to students with a range of special educational needs. They will play a key role in creating an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment, helping each child reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to meet individual student needs.
  • Develop and implement personalized education plans (IEPs).
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working within an SEN setting or with children who have special educational needs.
  • Strong understanding of various SEN conditions, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
