Early Careers and Professional Learning Lead

Kingsbury Green Academy, judged as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in every category when inspected in April 2022, is part of the successful Ascend Learning Trust. We are an ambitious, forward thinking 11-18 years Academy situated in a beautiful location on the outskirts of Calne in Wiltshire.

We believe in continuous professional growth and the importance of early-career development, which is why we’re looking for a passionate and dedicated Early Careers and Professional Learning Lead to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a comprehensive induction programme for ECTs to ensure their smooth transition and growth within the school.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities for staff at all stages of their careers.
  • Collaborate with school leadership to design, develop, and implement professional learning programmes for all staff members
  • Work with the Deputy Headteacher (Teaching and Learning) to organise and facilitate professional learning sessions, workshops, and seminars focused on pedagogy, curriculum design, classroom management, and other teaching strategies
  • Foster a culture of reflective practice and continuous learning, providing guidance and support to both new and experienced teachers.
  • Track and assess the progress of professional learning activities and initiatives, ensuring alignment with school goals and objectives.
