apartmentEMOODIE LIMITED placeEdinburgh descriptionStage/Internship scheduleFull-time calendar_month
Role: Marketing Intern
Company: eMoodie Limited
Location: Remote
Duration: 4-6 months, Part-Time
Start date: Spring and Summer 2026

Compensation: Honorary/Unpaid Internship (with possibility to transition to paid position if internship is successful)

About Us:
eMoodie is a digital mental health start-up focused on improving access to affordable, reliable mental health tools. Our mission is to help individuals and organisations address stress, burnout, and related mental health challenges earlier, before they escalate into more serious problems.

We are building digital solutions designed to support mental health in a practical, scalable, and evidence-informed way.

We are now preparing for a key stage of growth and are looking for a highly motivated Marketing Intern to support our commercial and brand-building activity over the spring and summer period.

Job Overview:

This internship is designed for a Bachelor's/Master’s-level student or recent graduate in Marketing who wants meaningful experience in a start-up environment.

You will support real marketing activity tied to awareness, positioning, and growth. This is not a passive internship. You will have the opportunity to contribute to strategic thinking as well as execution, including helping shape campaigns, messaging, and performance measurement.

This reflects our view that strong marketers should be able to think both creatively and commercially.

Key Responsibilities:

You will work under the guidance of the senior team and may also collaborate with product, design, and commercial colleagues.

Responsibilities may include: Supporting the development of marketing strategy for our digital mental health products

Helping create and refine messaging for different audiences, including employers, partners, and end users
Assisting with campaign planning across channels such as LinkedIn, email, website content, and other digital platforms
Creating or coordinating marketing assets such as presentations, graphics, short-form content, and promotional materials
Conducting market and competitor research to help inform positioning and campaign decisions
Supporting thought leadership, content marketing, and awareness-building activities
Helping define how success should be measured across campaigns, including engagement, lead generation, and conversion metrics
Assisting with the preparation of sales and marketing materials for external stakeholders
Contributing ideas for low-budget, high-impact campaigns suitable for an early-stage company

This internship will give you hands-on experience in digital marketing within a fast-moving start-up environment.

Benefits:

You will gain exposure to: Early-stage marketing strategy

Brand and campaign development
B2B and digital health marketing
Cross-functional collaboration with senior leadership

Real-world decision-making under conditions of uncertainty

You will also have the chance to make a visible contribution to a mission-driven company working on an important social challenge. The earlier internship examples emphasised giving interns hands-on experience and a meaningful role in helping bring the product to market, and this internship is intended in the same spirit.

Person specification

We are looking for someone who is:

Currently completing, or has recently completed, a Master’s degree in Marketing or a closely related subject
Strong in written communication and able to present ideas clearly and persuasively
Interested in digital health, mental health, start-ups, or mission-driven innovation
Proactive, organised, and comfortable taking initiative
Able to work independently and respond well in a fast-changing environment
Thoughtful, reliable, and accountable in delivering work they commit to
Comfortable combining strategic thinking with practical execution
It would be a plus if you have
Experience with digital marketing campaigns, content creation, or social media strategy
Familiarity with tools such as Canva, HubSpot, Google Analytics, LinkedIn, or email marketing platforms
Experience conducting market research or competitor analysis
An interest in B2B marketing, employer wellbeing, or health innovation

Experience presenting ideas or campaign plans in an academic or professional context

Application process: To apply, please send
  • Your CV
  • A short covering note explaining why this internship interests you
  • Optional: one example of a campaign, presentation, or piece of marketing work you are proud of
As part of the selection process, shortlisted applicants may be asked to complete a short marketing task. For example, you may be asked to outline a small-budget campaign, explain how you would allocate budget, which channels you would use, and how you would measure success.

This reflects the type of strategic exercise we have used previously to distinguish candidates who can think beyond execution alone.
