Your new role

In this role, your responsibilities will look like the following:

  • Record customer and job request details on company systems.
  • Initiate appropriate responses in line with business processes.
  • Pay attention to health and safety, business growth, and service delivery standards.
  • Provide general administrative support.
  • Perform street work noticing tasks.
  • Plan connections and process requests from utilities for plant location.
  • Verify documentation and input data.
  • Handle inbound and outbound customer contacts regarding gas emergencies, asset maintenance updates, and other business-related enquiries.
  • Manage incoming and outbound telephone calls.
  • Assist in the administration and planning of asset maintenance work.
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints
  • Input data and assist with administrative tasks.
  • Update connection, metering, and service information on company systems.
  • Interpret and translate technical information for appropriate responses.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Minimum of 5 GCSE passes (or equivalent) to include English and Maths at Grade C or above
  • At least one year’s experience working within a customer service environment and dealing with telephone enquiries
  • At least two years' administrative experience
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on their own initiative without supervision
  • The ability to multitask various activities.
  • Excellent communication skills, including a polite & friendly telephone manner
