Job Title: Hospitality and Catering InstructorLocation: Trent Acres, Kings Bromley
Salary: £15,825.00 per annum
Hours: 24 hours per week; 3 days a week, 8am - 4pm
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

About the role:
To continue the growth and development of Options Trent Acres School and lead on the delivery of providing a warm, safe and secure environment in which all learners are able to thrive. To work closely with the SLT and colleagues to ensure the school is compliant with statutory regulations taking a leading role in teaching Hospitality and Catering.
You will be required to review , monitor and adapt curriculum matters in order to ensure a challenging, engaging and appropriate Food Technology curriculum is being delivered to all and share the school’s values and ethos to create a highly personalised curriculum to meet individuals needs in an environment that is nurturing and holistic.
Key Responsibilities:
- To contribute to raising standards of pupil progress and attainment in Hospitality and Catering.
- To monitor and support the teaching and learning throughout Hospitality and Catering.
- Under the direction of the Deputy Headteacher, ensure Hospitality and Catering is implemented, monitored and reviewed in order to analyse its effectiveness.
- To have a solid understanding of the school pathways and ensuring suitable learning is taking place in all environments.
- To have an understanding of appropriate vocational qualifications and ensure pupils are working towards these in key stage 4 and key stage 5.
- Deliver enrichment and enhancement activities.
- Liaise with the Deputy Head Teacher and the Senior Leadership team to communicate subject effectiveness and how this impacts the school.
- To understand and support the development of appropriate sequences of learning that relate to the needs of learners in each pathway.
- To model professional standards at all times in line with Professional Standards for Teachers.
About the school
Options Trent Acres School has currently undergone development and has increased its pupil numbers from 30 to over 100 in the past two years, due to this the job roles advertised are new as part of this development and it is an exciting time for the school.
The school is situated on a 12 acre site and is purpose built, modern and welcoming with a range of specialist learning areas including an indoor and outdoor riding area and outdoor gymnasium and our pupils have the opportunity to work with the animals on site (horses, donkeys, goats, reptiles, chickens, chinchillas to name but a few) and learning outside of the classroom is a fundamental part of life at Options Trent Acres School.We have a dedicated team of staff who are focused on delivering high quality, pupil-centred, bespoke packages of education for all pupils.
The school is within easy reach of Stoke, Derby, Telford, Stafford, Lichfield, Burntwood, Rugeley, Cannock, Burton-on-Trent, Tamworth, Uttoxeter and surrounding areas.
