Manufacturing Engineer
Our client, a leading OEM manufacturer, is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This role will be based in their facility in South Tyneside.
The Manufacturing Engineer Role
As Manufacturing Engineer, you will improve machine manufacturing efficiency, quality and costs. Using lean initiatives and product innovations.
Other responsibilities will include:- Industrialise the manufacturing process for company products.
- Promote a safe working environment using 5s principles.
- Validate machine bill of materials (BOM)
- Generate and manage standard operating procedures (SOPs) for machine manufacturing.
- Support new product introduction projects (NPI)
- Use continuous improvement and Lean initiatives to provide a structured approach to quality, cost and delivery improvements.
About You
As Manufacturing Engineer, you will have a degree in Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical, (Experience will be considered). You will also have experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably manufacturing vehicles or machines.
Other requirements include:- Experience of working to tight engineering tolerances.
- Experience providing engineering instructions and drawings.
- 3D CAD (SolidWorks) advantageous but not essential
- Understanding of hydraulic systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office including, but not limited to; Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams and other specialized packages used
- Experience in Engineering planning, Project Engineering, Continuous improvement & Lean methodologies
- Results orientated, with a commitment to quality and timely delivery
- Demonstrates high levels of personal energy and enthusiasm, and generates the same in individuals they work with
