Position Overview:An Ofsted Good school in Northampton is looking to appoint a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher. This role is available on a temporary basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right individual, or as a direct permanent appointment if preferred.
The successful candidate will take on full teaching responsibilities, including planning, marking, and contributing to the wider Science department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the development of the Science curriculum and participate in departmental meetings.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
- Take on full teaching responsibilities, including planning, marking, and participation in school events.
Requirements:
- Ideally, the candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Must have an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service.
- Strong subject knowledge in Science with the ability to teach across various Key Stages.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Commitment to maintaining high educational standards and contributing to the school community.
